Dear Brethren,
Connectivity was a luxury at the camp (only at the dining hall) and time was even more of a luxury with many wonderful things to do at the camp and the Grand Canyon.
Before saying anything else, please know that a fuller report will be given in Sunday School, August 7. I hope that you can attend. I know of two of the BTC/GCers cannot be there. Jennifer Johnson, Emily-Kate's friend and Kristen Carruth will not be there, but I hope to read reports from them.
Below are first some pics from the BTC and then later from the Grand Canyon.
I do pray the each young adult was strengthened in the Lord and that our local church was strengthened as we seek to see the Lord build it yet further.

Wondrous Saturday!
Dear Brethren,
This has been such a beautiful day in this mountainous region of Arizona. Glorious skies, jagged peaks, and wondrous fellowship and activities have marked this day so far.
1. The men heard David Dykstra speak on godly masculinity and the women on godly femininity. David spoke on rebellion to God's creative order and His revelation of what a godly man is to be. He pointed us to the characteristics of elders and deacons in 1 Timothy 3 saying this is what all men should be like. Sheri heard Mark Chanski teach the women that they are to have a meek and quiet spirit, but this will not keep them from being an Abigail whose wisdom prevented king David from a terrible sin. We will hear from both men tonight in a mixed setting.
2. This afternoon our young people went to paintball wars (I saw Enoch and Ruthie there). Many others of them played game after game of volleyball.
Below are some picks to help you see what we saw today.

Please know that I would like to post more pictures, but time is failing me. Pray that the Lord would truely make godly men and women of this generation that the Lord is raising up.

We are Now at the BTC
We arrived today at the camp at 4:45PM. Much went on during the day to accomplish this The first plane arrived at 8:45 earlier than expected. The second group however arrived at 1:20, about 2 hours late. The first arrivals went to a shopping area that had an ice rink. Many of them went skating. I cannot post images yet since I do not have internet connectivity here yet and only have my iPhone to type this out. Both speakers introduced their topics on being a godly man or a godly woman in the church. More later. Please keep praying for all of us.

Mitch and Sheri safe in New Mexico
Sheri and I have had two safe and wondrous days driving through Texas. How beautiful is this world that the Lord has created. We spent the night in Las Crucas, New Mexico. Here are just a couple of the sights we saw.
We continue to covet your prayers. We pick up all the youth tomorrow, the Lord being our helpers. M&S
